Becoming a Governor
The Redland Green School LGB is part of the Gatehouse Green Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust.
If you are interested in becoming a governor at Redland Green, please contact the clerk for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org
We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds across the community, and there is no need for previous experience of being on a committee or of governance. Training is provided, and many governors learn valuable skills.
The key criteria for being a governor is that you should have a real commitment to supporting the school, and giving your time to the role.
Most formal meetings of the governing body and committees are from 6 - 8pm, and governors normally attend around seven of these in each school year. There are also training sessions, for which prior notice is given. It is particularly helpful if governors can also get involved in some activities during the school day, such as recruitment interviews and panels.
