KS3 Geography
“Geography explores how physical processes and human actions are shaping our world and how we can sustainably manage these”
During their Key Stage 3 journey, students will be taught about different geographical perspectives, scales, timescales, and sustainability as a means to better understand the world around them. Each year, students will be expected to debate and discuss two or three topic questions using the knowledge they have acquired across different units.
For example, Year 8 students will have to debate the following topic question ‘Are natural processes builders or bulldozers?’. This will require them to draw on the knowledge they have gained in Tectonic Processes, Weather Processes, and Glacial Processes units.
Our aim is to ensure that all Key Stage 3 students develop a better understanding of global issues facing our planet by analysing these from a variety of perspectives, at different scales, across different timescales, and in a sustainable manner.
