KS3 AAG
AAG Scheme of Learning 2019/2020
Aspire, attain, Grow (AAG) is taught at Key Stage 3 (Years 8 and 9) for those pupils who have been disapplied from languages because of their special educational needs or their need to study a more personalised curriculum.
At Key Stage 4 pupils follow an AAG programme in place of studying a language at GCSE. This is a non-exam subject.
AAG aims to develop pupils’ skills in:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- ICT
- Personal development
Key Stage 3 curriculum
- Pupils study a literacy based curriculum which mirrors the English curriculum map and allows pupils to study topics in a greater depth to check for understanding and practise core skills of reading, writing and speaking and listening.
- Pupils are also given the opportunity to practise their numeracy skills by completing online activities that carefully match the maths curriculum
