KS3 Design Technology
Design Technology Vision Statement
The Key Stage 3 Design Technology curriculum has been devised to enable students to develop iterative design skills, whilst building on and developing their knowledge of making and manufacturing. Students will investigate design, evaluate and modify their ideas and products using methods that reflect those utilised in the design industry. We look to develop problem solving skills, creativity, curiosity and knowledge of the core principles of design.
Students will gain a wide breadth of experience across a multi-disciplined curriculum. This will include resistant materials and textiles workshop practice, health and safety, test-kitchen experience, design skills including graphics and CAD/CAM.
