KS3 Music
At KS3 students develop their knowledge and understanding of music through performance, composition, and listening and appraising.
Singing is central to the KS3 music curriculum, and they will also have the opportunity to play keyboards, ukuleles, guitars and djembe drums as well as use music technology to compose music. Students are exposed to a wide variety of genres, cultures and concepts, sharing music they enjoy in lessons with their peers, and they are encouraged to express their musical opinions. They will learn musical vocabulary and theory enough to access the KS4 curriculum.
