Rhiannon Ormsby

Rhiannon joined as a Governor in July 2019 and currently has two children at the school.

Rhiannon is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience of working in the NHS with children, young people and their families.

Moira joined as a Parent Governor in July 2019 and is a lawyer. Moira has 4 children, all of which have been or are still at RGS.

Ben Houghton

Ben was appointed as Headteacher in 2022 and is a governor by virtue of office.

Sally-Anne Hayles

Sally-Anne become a co-opted governor in 2022. She is a solicitor specialising in commercial real estate. Sally-Anne has two children at the school.

David Hill

David comes with 8 years of global experience in technology development, with key knowledge in strategic management, project leadership and engineering. His focus is keenly on leadership, student destination and STEM.

Barry Trahar

Barry is a long standing advocate of RGS and is a retired University Manager & Administrator. Barry is also a governor at Claremont School.

Jacqueline Ewers

Jacqueline works for the Arts Council providing email marketing support to the arts and culture sector but also has experience in education.

Clare Freshwater-Turner

Clare works in environmental sustainability, and is a qualified accountant with a wide range of senior role experience.

Cedric Sanguignol

Cedric has over 20 years experience in the aerospace industry and significant experience in school governance.

Sam Leigh

Sam is a staff appointed governor from September 2023. He has been a politics and history teacher at RGS for over 9 years and brings his experience and knowledge of the education sector to the committee.

Ravi Venchard

Ravi joined the Academy Committee in 2024.

In a career spanning nearly 43 years within MOD, and now partially retired, Ravi has predominantly spent his time in equipment acquisition.

Nursen Davies

Nursen became a staff appointed governor in October 2024. As a member of the school support staff, she is also chair to the school's Diversity Group and brings many other skills to the governing committee.

Georgina Cairns

The role of Clerk is to ensure the Governing Body follows agreed and proper procedures, operates within its powers, and the business of the Governing Body is conducted smoothly and efficiently.

Georgina joined as Clerk to Governors in September 2018.
