Another fantastic year at Post 16
Another fantastic year for Post 16 Students
2019 has proved to be another very successful year for students North Bristol Post-16 Centre (click here for more news). Hard work and commitment from the students (as well as staff across the Centre) have resulted in outcomes which students can be very proud of.
Special congratulations go to all thirty nine students at Redland Green Learning Community who achieved three or more A or A* grades in their A levels, as well as the seven students who achieved the equivalent in two or more BTEC subjects. Included in these numbers are fifteen students who achieved 3 or more A* grades at A level - an outstanding achievement!
The excellent results have meant that a very large majority of our students have taken up their first choice of university places on courses in a wide range of disciplines including arts and humanities, science and technology and social sciences. Whilst well over half of UCAS applicants are heading to Russell Group institutions, many others are joining competitive institutions outside of this body with a recognised excellence in their chosen field. Eleven students will be taking up places at Oxford / Cambridge Universities, and eight more will begin their medical studies. In addition to university destinations, we have also supported students successfully into apprenticeships, Art Foundation courses, organised Gap Year activities, and a range of diverse employment opportunities.
We look forward to further success in the coming year, and to welcoming our new Year 12 students. For more information about the North Bristol Post 16 Centre, including how to apply, please see www.nbp16c.org.uk.
