Headteacher Update 22/02/21

Dear Parents

A warm welcome back following the half-term break. I just wanted to briefly acknowledge the Prime Minister's update this afternoon outlining the Government's roadmap to lift current Covid restrictions. When the full guidance from the DFE is released, I will write to you with further details.

We are delighted that we are able to start welcoming back students from 8 March. Obviously, there are a lot of unanswered questions currently about how the testing process will support the return of all students (the Prime Minister clearly stated that students will be tested twice a week - quite a feat in a school of 1500 students) so I am expecting further details to be shared around the logistics of this roll-out. I am also aware that some current protective measures may also be updated, including wearing face masks in classrooms where social distancing cannot be maintained.

Once I have had time to fully digest the full guidance I will write to you all at that point.
