FREE SCHOOL MEALS & PUPIL PREMIUM
What is Pupil Premium?
If your child is entitled to free school meals, the school can claim Pupil Premium funding on their behalf.
Pupil Premium is extra funding for every child who’s eligible for free school meals throughout their time at school.
What is the money used for?
Curriculum trips will be free, and subject to approval, you can claim a contribution for one non-compulsory trip per year. The school will also provide any revision books your child might need and individual Bristol Beacon lessons will be discounted.
If an Enrichment activity requires a financial contribution you can apply for a discount by completing a Pupil Premium Financial request form. You can download a Pupil Premium financial request form HERE, or alternatively you can collect a copy from the main school reception.
This money makes a big difference to schools and the eligible pupils
What support will be given to pupil premium students?
All students can receive additional math and/or English academic support and encouragement, to ensure that they have a positive and successful learning experience.
